CSOR Race Day Rules

As A Driver:
No transmitter should be turned on till you are ready to race.
No driving models in the pit area or car park.
Never change frequency without first contacting race control.
You are expected to marshal the race after yours, or find someone to cover your marshal point.
Never drive against the racing direction (anti-clockwise).
Always use full brake when your model is being marshaled.
The area around a stranded vehicle is to be considered a “yellow flag” or caution area. Slow down and be aware of marshals stepping onto the track.
No passing at a point where a marshal is on track.
Penalties and/or immediate disqualification may be used for dangerous/hazardous/reckless driving or behavior.
Even once your racing is over you are still needed as a marshal. Please respect other driver’s entitlement to a fair race and stay till your marshaling duties are fulfilled.
Abusive behavior towards any other person will not be tolerated.
Take your rubbish home.
As A Marshal:
Always wear a high-vis vest when marshaling.
Never put yourself in a dangerous position on the track.
Always allow oncoming models to pass before stepping onto the track.
If it’s not safe to handle a model, wait till it is. Be aware of spinning wheels and hot exhaust when recovering models.
Watch your section of track, not the race.
Stick to your marshal point so as not to obscure the view of drivers.
Under 16’s will not be marshal’s unless authorized by race control.
Penalties and/or immediate disqualification may be used for dangerous/hazardous/reckless driving or behavior.
Take your rubbish home.
The race official’s decision is final.
